Court Booking Available Now Online

Thanks to a lot of work by Christian Miles we now have an online booking system.

This is being trialled, starting with Court 4 during March and then Courts 1 to 4 from 1st April in conjunction with the new summer timetable.

It is easy to use and a permanent link is available via the Court Timetable page.

Overall the committee hopes that the changes to the timetable and the booking system will make more time available both for people wishing to turn up ‘on spec’ and for those who wish to book in advance by creating a more flexible system with less priorities and a timetable that will be easier to understand. Feedback on the booking system should be emailed to treasurer@oundletennis.org .

1.      Courts are not bookable on the day

2.      Court 5 can not be booked so that members without access to the internet are not disadvantaged, this will continue to operate on a turn up and play basis (If the court is busy then on court players should make way for waiting players after 20 minutes – one set maximum- as at present)

3.      Courts unbooked at the start of day are available on the turn up and play basis (as above)

4.      Club members may only book courts for their own use (visitors may play with members for the usual fee)

5.      No more than 2 hours to be booked at any one time by the same playing group of members

6.      Club members must arrive in good time for their booked slots, if the court is not taken by the booking member within 5 minutes of the start time then the booking is null and void

7.      Club members must sign on arrival to verify that they have used their booking slot

8.      Coaching sessions can only be booked for club members

9.      The booking system will only work on an honour system. Members should cancel bookings if they cannot use them as soon as possible. The usage will be reviewed and sanctions against members abusing the system will be considered by the committee.

10.  Trial will be reviewed at end of May

11.  TIC public bookings to be made via booking system subject to agreement with TIC

12.  In conjunction with booking system all non specific adult and junior general priorities will be removed from the new Summer timetable.
